DJ Koco aka Shimokita is a vinyl wizard known worldwide for his insane skills on 45s and pure joy behind the decks. Since posting his first Instagram video in 2017, he’s blown up with flawless technique, deep digging, and infectious energy.
Having rocked major gigs like the Do-Over Tokyo, Vinyl Destination Tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Boiler Room x Dommune x Technics, plus standout sets on Scratchvision and Glitterbox’s Virtual Festival—named DJ set of the year by Defected Records.
Koco’s sets aren’t just technically brilliant—they’re unforgettable experiences.

A celebration of the deeper side of disco and soulful house in the Si Paradiso basement . Join us for the second edition of this new series with a focus on the rarer , deeper and more UNDERGROUND DISCO.
For the second edition we have enlisted NZ'S king of disco and all things soulful FRANK BOOKER
Based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa, Frank Booker has built a worldwide reputation for incredible edits and amazing DJ sets. His highly acclaimed production output has been released on vinyl via the likes of Razor-N-Tape (USA), Wonderful Noise (Japan), Disco Deviance (UK), Sleazy Beats (Netherlands) and more.
His music has been supported by the likes of Dam Swindle, Natasha Diggs, The Blessed Madonna, Optimo, Mr Scruff, and Jimpster amongst many others.
Touring extensively since 2012, Booker has made his way through Australia, Japan, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Holland, Switzerland, USA and Brazil playing alongside the likes of Chaka khan , Moodymann, DJ Harvey, Gilles Peterson, Folamour and Dam Funk amongst others.
He is a festival regular performing headline sets at the likes of Flamingo Pier, Splendour in the Grass, Splore and many more. In 2022 he launched his own flagship event, House Of Booker with a sold out show at Auckland’s Neck of the Woods. Booker was the DJ of choice for a private party for Prince when he visited Aotearoa in 2016.
